You will be taken to Negombo Sri Lanka, where you will spend the first night of this exciting journey. This city on the island’s West Coast is well-known due to its numerous churches. Because of this Negombo is sometimes referred to as ‘Little Rome’. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing in your hotel or by the gorgeous beach.
Travel to Kandy on the second day. Being the location of the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy provides a fascinating experience. Explore the city while admiring its architecture and the breathtaking views of the lake that sits in the centre of it.
Get to Sigiriya on the third day and bid Kandy farewell. The Sigiriya Rock Fortress is so magnificent, that it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Reach the vibrant frescoes that adorn the rocky walls after ascending the numerous stairs. Then take in the breathtaking views from the very top. Go to Minneriya National Park later in the day to witness the Asian elephants which make up the majority of the park’s wildlife and breathtaking natural views. After that on the fourth day spend the day touring the village and learning about its past.
Travel to Nilaveli Beach and spend the entire sixth day at Pigeon Island Marine National Park. Here, you can go diving to observe the beautiful coral and marine life that the reef protects. On the sixth day unwind by the shore and take in the sounds of the waves lapping against the sand. Visit the Koneswaram Temple later to witness this breathtaking beauty.
Take advantage of these two days and unwind at the Pasikuda beach. As the sun shines brightly, spend the day relaxing with a drink in hand. Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze while playing in the ocean.
Visit Arugam Bay for days nine and ten to surf and catch some waves. With the ideal weather in mind, you can enjoy surfing and relaxation. Day 10 is dedicated to unwinding after this thrilling activity.
For day 11, you will be spending your time in Yala National Park. Fame was brought upon this park due to its large leopard population. Adventurers and nature lovers alike enjoy traversing this park in a safari jeep so they can capture these elusive creatures in action.
Travel to Unawatuna on day twelve. Here you can see the UNESCO-designated Galle Dutch Fort. Due to its magnificent preservation, it is also known as Asia’s best-preserved sea fort. See migratory whale pods when you venture out to sea on day thirteen. Watch in awe as the baby whales swim alongside their mothers in this exciting excursion. After that take a culinary class later in the day to learn the basics of Sri Lankan cooking.
The final location of this journey is Colombo. Explore this dynamic city that combines a dash of culture and modernity. Explore different shopping centres and sample the popular fusion food among the locals. See the different sites like the old Parliament Building or Independence Square.
On the fifteenth day depart Sri Lanka by going to the airport.
