Day 01

Day 01

Arrive in Sri Lanka and head to Negombo, the city in which you will spend your first day in leisure. Spend some time getting to know this beachside city as you go to iconic locations like St. Mary’s Church or visit Negombo Beach. Take a stroll by the beach and taste the flavourful combinations of seafood and Sri Lankan aromatics.

Day 02

Early in the morning, head to Chilaw where you can visit the Mannarai and Munneswaram temples. These are prominent for their incredible architecture and religious and spiritual importance. After taking in the views and stories of these temples, make your way to the prominent city of Kandy. Here you can visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a fanciful temple created in a unique shape which encompasses a museum and a vast area to meditate and be at peace. As night falls stroll the streets and come across the lively night market before going back to your lodging for rest.

Day 03

Take off to Nuwara Eliya, located in the central hills of Sri Lanka. In this cold climate city lies two major Ramayana sites, Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil. Discover the breathtaking beauty and vivid tales as you explore. Take some time and visit the Nuwara Eliya City where you can visit the beautiful locations and see tea plantations crested on mountainsides.

Day 04

Say farewell to Nuwara Eliya and head to Bandarawela, an enchanting city of tea plantations and mountain ranges. The Hindu Shrine of Gayathri-Peedam dedicated to the goddess Gayathri and Divurumpola is located here. This is a significant location to the legend of Ramayana as it is mentioned that this is where Sita is said to have met Agni Pariksha. Enjoy the day, visiting these locations and going through a stroll of the city to take in the breathtaking views of the greenery of plants and mountains.

Day 05

Explore the famous Ravana Caves and Ravana Falls which may have Ramayana connections when you arrive in Ella on day five. Ella is a famously known location in Sri Lanka due to the scenic train ride that can be taken to reach the city as well as the Nine Arches Bridge, a picturesque location that is famous to both tourists and locals. Discover the sacred temple at Kataragama, a major Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site where you will be captured by its immense beauty.

Day 06

Sometimes past breakfast, head out to visit the Lord Murugan Temple. Located in Kataragama it is a highly spiritual and religious location in Sri Lanka. It is visited by a large number of pilgrims from both India and Sri Lanka throughout the year. Head to the outer shell of Sri Lanka at Galle. This coastal city is home to many unique sights such as the Galle Dutch Fort or the Lighthouse. Explore Ussangoda, thought to be Hanuman’s landing place in search of Sita. Complete your tour of Galle by visiting Rumassala Temple. Visit the Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa as you make your way to the final destination in Colombo– The Sri Anjaneyar Temple. Spend the remainder of the day in Colombo as you check in to your final lodging. The nightlife of Colombo, filled with shopping opportunities and dining experiences is available to experience.

Day 07

If time permits, spend the morning browsing through the many shopping options or try some of the street food vendors’ delicacies as you tour the city. Finally, pack your bags and head to the airport for departure.
